Edgar Ndjatou

Executive Director

Edgar Ndjatou has expertise in directing all aspects of programs for a national organization educating workers and their advocates and promoting worker-friendly public policy. He is the media lead for Workplace Fairness and provides expert commentary to mainstream and digital media on a wide variety of workplace topics, including sexual harassment, workplace privacy and employment discrimination. Ndjatou also advises the organization on website strategy and content as well as oversees WF’s 0.1.2.3 Content Licensing for Legal Websites program.
Ndjatou’s previous experience includes practicing employment law for nine years, including co-managing his own law firm. As an employment lawyer, Ndjatou represented employees in the federal, nonprofit and private sectors, in all phases of administrative proceedings and lawsuits involving claims under federal, state and local employment laws. Ndjatou is the Founding Principal of Officium, LLC. He provides consulting services for individuals and organizations in the following areas: personal career, human resources, administrative and management. Ndjatou has degrees from American University Washington College of Law and Brandeis University.

Alayya Arrison

Engagement Director

Alayya Arrison serves as the Engagement Director at Workplace Fairness and holds a diverse background in non-profit communications and development. Alayya earned her bachelor’s degree from Immaculata University and a Master of Science in Communication from Syracuse University. In her role at WF, she is responsible for managing the organization’s communications, content, partnerships and development.

Kathy Heldman

Legal Content Manager

As the Legal Content Manager, Kathy Heldman is responsible for managing material on the Workplace Fairness website as well as publishing content regarding cutting-edge workplace issues for blogs, action alerts, newsletters, social media and other web-based communications. She has 25 years of experience in marketing and communications senior leadership positions with national education management organizations. Kathy has also worked for nonprofit organizations in the areas of community outreach, development and consulting. She earned a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Michigan.

Aaron Abram

Development Manager

Aaron Abram is currently a law student at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Aaron worked in fundraising in several capacities and has a unique affinity for the Workplace Fairness mission and values, and plans to practice labor and employment law. In addition to his development work, Aaron has a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies and Workforce Leadership from Clayton State University and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida. In his role at Workplace Fairness, Aaron is responsible for managing the organization’s fundraising and programming.

Alexis Cook

Administrator

Alexis Cook is the President of WSC Associates, LLP (WSC), a woman-owned minority small business located in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Since 2004, WSC has provided management services in the areas of administration, bookkeeping, events, membership, and human resources which has created stability and continuity for the infrastructures of nonprofits and small businesses.
Alexis spent 20 years working in Corporate prior to resigning from her last place of employment, Ernst & Young, where she was responsible for managing and professionally developing 22 Administrative Assistants accomplishments include writing and implementing policies and procedures for world-wide organizations, developing and monitoring budgets between $100K-$5M, creating and maintaining a variety of databases, creating presentations and company newsletters, and developing and implementing administrative training programs.

Max Cyril

Website Manager

Max Cyril, the founder of MC WEBSTUDIO is a Web Developer & Digital Marketer who covers all the bases, from crafting stunning graphics, to developing site architecture that works like magic, and marketing campaigns that convert all developed with a strategy to inspire, interest, engage, and convert your target audience.
Max іѕ fосuѕеd оn helping buѕіnеѕѕеѕ and ambitious professionals who ѕtrіvе to асhіеvе best-in-class ѕеrvісе and continuous business іmрrоvеmеnt by providing them with the best Digital solutions to help them become successful. In his role with Workplace Fairness, he maintains and oversees all website acitivities, develops unique website designs and manages our 0.1.2.3 client sites.

Madeline Messa

Madeline Messa is a 3L at Syracuse University College of Law. She graduated from Penn State with a degree in journalism. With her legal research and writing for Workplace Fairness, she strives to equip people with the information they need to be their own best advocate.

Shafuq Naseem

Shafuq Naseem is a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Government and International Politics. Her personal, professional, and academic experience with labor and employment issues fuels her passion for workers’ rights. In her role at Workplace Fairness, she plays a role in editing and creating legal content, and assists with special projects such as the podcast.
